Birthday, Hippies, Stars and MJ

Hey Everyone, so Im super horrible at keeping up to date with these blogs but I really dont feel like theres ever a whole lot to write about that would be interesting to all of you. But oh well heres letting you know whats been going on out here in the west.
Last weekend was my friend/neighbours 21st birthday so we spent wednesday and thursday night celebrating with her. Wednesday we suprised her by having a bunchof her freinds over for cake and a movie. Thursday night 2 of her freinds on the basketball team and my two roomates and her went out for late dinner at boston pizza. we then drove around moose jaw looking for this mansion that laura saw ONCE. after about half an hour driving around teh entire west end of the city we finally found it. It was crazy beautiful and huge (4 car garage..crazy). Brieta, Dorina and I hid Dani's car on her and Laura while they were in 7/11 getting 5cent candies. That was hilarious watching them from across the street being so confused about where the heck the car was, until some creepy moose jaw guys tried picking them up. we got out of there pretty quickly. we then went back to the dorm and lit off sparklers in the parking lot.
Two Saturdays ago was hippie/disco night at Joe's place. that was super fun as a lot of us staff got dressed up and then we had a tickle trunk full of costumes for the kids to wear if they wanted. we played disco music all ngiht and pretty much danced the entire night. I got to know a few new kids through chatting and convincing them to come onto the dance floor and dance. it was a lot of fun.
This past Saturday Tony (xboyfriend) stopped in to say hi to his friends. That was hard at first because I completely it was so unexpected. BUt I think it ended up being really good for me because I was able to talk to him (small talk only but still it was something since we havent talked really since june)and i think it finally gave me some sense of closure. Last night I God revealed to me somethings about why its been hard to move on and it was really good to recognize them and surrender them to Christ. I am so thankful for the love and grace that God shows me through being so gentle in how he refines into becoming more like the daughter he created me to be.
Well last night I was then journalling about all this and getting ready for bed when Dani came in and we decided we were no longer tired and wanted to go for a walk. so we bundled up and went for a walk around caronport. It was so much fun to walk with her again (we havent since the beginning of the year) and to just tell boy stories and laugh till it hurt. We went to lay in the field after like half an hour cause the stars were amazing and we saw 3 shooting stars. I love the sky here in Saskatchewan cause it is just sooooo huge and beautiful. you should all come out here and visit me just for that.
Speaking of which. You guys can pray for me as I am feeling like God is calling me to stay here in Moose Jaw this summer to work and minister to the youth here (through joes place). This has been something God has been placing my heart all year and its been really hard to die to my own desires of wanting to go home to hali and work for the summer. But God has been teaching me soooo much about trusting him, sacrifice, faith, surrender and so much more. Im really excited to see how God is going to open doors and what he has instore for me here. Although its Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and I feel liek Gods calling me to the dessert, I am really excited to see what God has instore for me here. I know GOd has plans that are way bigger than me and that He will work in my life and the youth in Moose Jaws lives in more ways than I could ever hope or imagine. Please keep me in your prayers.
WEll Im off to help set things up for tomorrows day of prayer. I love and miss you all and ill be coming home in 34 DAYS for Christmas! Cant wait to see a lot of you then.
