The Next Chapter!!
Hey Everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying the summer weather and doing well. It was great seeing many of you in Ontario when I was home for a few weeks. As many of you know I have started a new chapter in my life. I’ve graduated from College and am now officially working full time at Joe’s Place Youth Centre in Moose Jaw. I am living with 3 other girls until August and then in August will be house sitting for a family I know for the year.
I left Ontario June 11 and drove to North Dakota to be in a friends wedding and then came back to Moose Jaw early to surprise the youth at Joe’s Place. It has been so great to be back and see how God has continued to move in their lives in the past few weeks that I’ve been gone.
On Sunday, 7 of our youth got baptized at the local Baptist church. We had 30-40 people out to celebrate with them this next step of faith. It was so exciting to see them take this next step of faith and for the example it was to the other youth who were there who have not yet made the decision to follow God. Please keep them in their prayers as they grow in following Jesus and that others will also make the decision to follow God.
Also on Sunday one of our girls rededicated her life to the Lord. The night before she had been telling me how she was considering going to Briercrest in the fall, which was something she had thought of doing a year ago before she fell into a really bad crowd. I asked her what made her start considering it again and she said “it’s not really a choice of schools but a lifestyle choice…If I decide to do hairstyling I’ll keep living life the way I am now but if I choose to go to Briercrest then I’m going to get my life right back on track and start over with God”. The next day at church we were singing about surrendering everything to God and I saw this girl up at the front on her knees. She hasn’t been in church in months and I was blown away to not only see her in church but up at the front crying out to God. So I went up to pray with her and she leaned over to me after I was done and said “Leanne, I’m finally home! I’m a prodigal daughter”. As we stayed on our knees worshiping God her little sister, who I’m really close with because she’s in my Friday Girls small group, came up and joined us and started bawling because we’ve been praying for her sister for a year that she would come back to God. It was beautiful to see God redeem her and call her back to Himself! Praise God for His unconditional love, mercy and grace. Please pray for this girl as she has to die to a lot of things to follow Jesus, but she is wanting to change and I know God will be faithful to give her strength to die to them and live freely in this new life of following God.

This Sunday we are taking 10 youth to Kedelston Bible Camp. Please pray that God will be softening their hearts to His truth and that they will come to know Him deeper.
Thank you all for your continual love, encouragement, support and prayers. I couldn’t do this ministry without you. Thank you for playing your part in furthering God’s kingdom in Moose Jaw.
I love you all lots
Have a great weekend
